On Monday 21st September we went to West Melton school to compete in a speech competition, it was split into a Year 7 and a Year 8 competition. The rules were that you had to have your speech from 2.5 to 3 minutes long and it had to be very persuasive, but most of all you had to have fun. In the Year 7 Competition I placed second. In the Year 8 Competition I didn't place but I felt like I gave it my best. Overall it was an awesome experience to listen to other amazing speeches. It is great to develop social skills and practice speaking in front of crowds.
