On Thursday 4th of April, we had 8 students from Halswell School represent our school and the Lincoln Zone at the Canterbury Swimming Sports. (missing in the photo above Arrah P)

We had eight awesome  swimmers qualify in the top 3 places at our Halswell School competitive swimming sports and qualified top 2 in the Lincoln Zone swimming sports. They then competed against the best swimmers in Canterbury on Thursday 4th of April. There were 772 kids competing overall from 143 schools all around Canterbury. 

Our Year 6 relay team (Julia M, Jackson B, George D & Arrah P) placed 4th in Canterbury by 4 seconds. An incredible achievement from these students. The other races our students swam fiercely in were Julia M (freestyle & backstroke), Arrah P (freestyle & breaststroke), George D (freestyle), Danielle M (backstroke), George Z (freestyle), Jordan G (breaststroke) and Cooper P (backstroke).
