Pet Week in the library

This week in the library we are celebrating Pet Week.  We are having a Pet Photo competition, where you can bring in a photo of your pet (or soft toy if you don't have a pet) and a writing competition.  All you have to do is write a story about what your pet gets up to when you're not around.  There are some funny pet books that you could win as prizes.  Both competitions close on Friday afternoon and the winners will be announced on Monday.

Football World Cup in the library

The 2018 Football World Cup starts in a couple of weeks in Russia.  We'll be celebrating in the library with some football themed competitions and there will be lots of football books to borrow.  UK author Tom Palmer is writing a World Cup story that will have a new chapter for each day of the World Cup.  Kids can come in to the library to read the next chapter each day.

Pocket Money Book Sale

From Monday 2 July to Wednesday 4 July we'll have a Pocket Money Book Sale in the library.  This is the last week of term so it is a great opportunity to come and buy a book or two to keep you entertained during the school holidays.  It's a Pocket Money Book Sale because everything is priced between $1-$10.  The great news is that 50% of the sales come straight back to our school library to buy all the fantastic new books that your children are asking for. This great new initiative is being organised by Mark Adams who many of you will know from Barrington PaperPlus.

The Pocket Money Book Sale will be open from Monday 2 July to Wednesday 4 July, between 8:30-9:00, 1:30-2:00 and 3:00-3:30.
