School Uniform Expectations

Stuart Cameron —

With the changing seasons, we have noticed a number of students coming to school in items of clothing that are not part of our school uniform. Although we encourage creativity at Halswell School, this does not extend to our uniform. Please ensure that your child comes to school in the correct uniform.

Over the next couple of terms, if you have opted not to purchase a school jacket, it would be a good idea to send your child to school with a wet weather jacket on a daily a basis as the conditions can be very changeable. There are no set expectations about what colours the children can wear for their wet weather jackets.  Please note that hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted however, as fleeces are available as part of our school uniform. Black or red long sleeves polypros and/or tights are permitted to add another layer of warmth.

Finally, please clearly label all uniform items so they can be returned to individuals if they are lost or misplaced.  We have a selection of second-hand uniforms available at reception on request. We also have a range of sample uniforms from our supplier Argyle Schoolwear available to try for sizing.

Please contact the office or see the Information Central page on our website if you have any further questions regarding our uniform. Thank you for your support.
