Final assemblies; finishing on Wednesday at 12pm; dates for 2018

Active Awards evening (Prize Giving) Tuesday night 7-8:30pm. This assembly is for all children in year 5-8. All year 8's will be farewelled and class awards from year 5-8 will be presented. 

School finishes this year on Wednesday at 12pm. Please make sure all children are collected by 12:30 unless they are attending Oscar. The road patrol on Halswell road will operate from 12-12:20

Term 1 starts Wednesday 31st January.  We have a teacher only day on Monday 5th Feb so the first weekend back will be four days for children as Waitangi day is on the Tuesday. Term one finishes on Friday the 13th.  The school off ice will be open from Monday 29th January

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered in any way this year at school, on trips, camps and in many other ways. We can't do a lot of our activities with out parent help. Also a huge thank you to the wonderful people who brought in morning tea for the staff a few weeks ago, it was very much appreciated and lasted us a few days!

Less Important but good to know.

Whole school production. We had a few questions about ticket prices as explained this was purely to recoup the cost for putting it on. Our final outgoings were $15,000 this covered staging, lighting, sound and set. As well as some staff costs for relieving teachers while teachers were taking rehearsals during class time. From ticket sales we recouped approximately $14,000 meaning we made a loss of $1000. We had budgeted for a loss of up to $3000.
