2021 Student Librarians

Once again I have had a huge amount of children interested in becoming a Student Librarian. This is great to see as it really shows how much our children love our library! After some serious consideration I was able to choose 10 new Student Librarians this year. Congratulations to those children who were chosen. I look forward to working with them this year and getting to know them more. If your child was not chosen this year please encourage them to apply again next year as I do notice those children who are keen to be a librarian.

Summer Reading books due back

Thank you to those who have already returned their children's Summer Reading books. If your child still has any books at home that they borrowed from our library over the summer these need to be returned as soon as possible. From next week these will all need to be returned in order for your child to borrow new books. If any have been lost for any reason please come and see me or email me - zac.mccallum@halswell.school.nz

Library Events in 2021

Once again this year we will have several Family Evenings in the library throughout the year. Later in Term 1 we will have an author coming to talk to us, in Term 2 we will have our Scholastic Book Fair and a Children's Book Quiz. More details about these events will be announced soon.
