As you are aware, we are making some changes to the way we report on children's progress and achievement at Halswell School. These changes reflect the feedback from last year’s reporting survey and should make your child’s Hero report easier for you to understand.

Our next steps are two changes to the reading, writing and maths progress graphs in Hero:

1. In Years 0-3 we will change to reporting your child’s progress at mid-year and end of the school year, rather than on their 20/40/60/80 weeks at school anniversaries. This will enable 6 months of learning between reports and aligns with the reporting schedule throughout the rest of the school. This means that all children will receive an end of year report on Hero for reading, writing and maths in December 2020 regardless of when they received their last anniversary report.
