Grandparent's Morning Tea - Wednesday 16 May

As part of our Book Fair we are having a Grandparent's Morning Tea on Wednesday 16 May.  You can invite your grandparents to come and have morning tea with you in the library, while checking out the Book Fair.  There will be tea, coffee and biscuits for grandparents and you might like to share a story with them in the library.

Pyjama Story Time for Book Night

Book Night is a special event on Tuesday 22 May organised by the Book Discussion Scheme.  The aim of the event is to  get people from all over New Zealand to join in together to read for at least 15 minutes.  To celebrate here at Halswell we are holding a Pyjama Story Time in the library.

Come along to the library from 6:30-7:00 in your pyjamas and enjoy some stories together.  This event is for everyone, from the smallest in the family right up to the oldest.  There is no need to RSVP, just pop along on the night.  There will also be some spot prizes of some great books to share at bedtime.
