The NZEI are currently in negotiations with the Ministry of Education over pay for primary teachers. We are hoping that these talks will have a positive outcome with an agreed settlement. However, we wanted to let you know that if agreement can't be reached, NZEI members have voted to strike on Wednesday 31 May. 

Given that all of our teaching staff are NZEI members we would be required to close the school on this day. 

If the strike was to go ahead, we will only receive notification of it on Sunday 28 May. We would then let you know about the school closure through a Hero notice.
