BRUCE TOPHAM —

Principal's Message

The start to the year has been nothing less than stunning. It is amazing how seamlessly new children have been assimilated into our Learning Centres. Many thanks to the children who have taken on the important role of being buddies to these children. Congratulations to all new staff who have also made an fantastic start to the year. This in no small part is due to how quickly your children have settled in routines and been prepared to look after and help our new staff members.

Also many thanks to the families who are hosting our guests from Qingdao. Without your generosity our opportunities to be involved in cultural exchanges would be impossible. Our guests were welcomed today with a Mihi Whakatau and have spent the afternoon with their hosts checking out our school and playing touch and dodgeball.

Tomorrow evening, at 6:30pm in the stadium, we are having a concert, sharing performances from some of our talented children and enjoying some items for our visitors. All school families are most welcome.

A thought for the week:    He waka eke noa  (A canoe which we are all in with no exception. We are all in this together.)

Please ensure that if you have any concerns relating to any aspect of your child’s start to the year you are talking to us about it either: their T group teacher, Team Leader or Cathie, Rob or me. Your children have the right to enjoy a safe and stimulating school life.
