This year our production is called ‘Reboot’ and it is inspired by the Disney film ‘Inside Out.’

It is about a new student on their very first day at Halswell School. They are asked to introduce themselves to their class. When faced with the terrifying task of public speaking, they do what any of us would do and FREEZE.

From there, we will travel inside the head of that student to meet their emotions; Fear, Sadness, Anger, and Joy. These emotions are frantically trying to unfreeze their human. To do so, they will need to REBOOT the memory drive and recover the confidence that was lost.

Each learning studio will become the memories that will bring back the student's confidence and allow her to face her fears.

Each child will be involved in this awesome experience. Children in Years 0-4 will perform in 3 shows. Children in Years 5-8 will perform in all 6 shows. Two of the performances will be matinee shows. Please note we have put on an additional two performances from previous years to ensure enough seats for whānau to see their children.
