Working Bee - This Sunday 9-12

Rob Naysmith —

We need your help!!

Halswell School Working Bee

9am to 12 noon.

Sausage sizzle lunch and refreshments at 12pm.

The weather is not looking great for Sunday we will make a decision on Friday and send out an alert through our school app.

We are keen to continue work on a number of projects around our school.

This Working Bee will Target Planting and Ground Tidying

Native planting co-ordinated by Craig Pauling:

Ø Planting around the new seating area near Ahuriri on the bank

Ø Weeding and planting in front of the wooden fence on Halswell Road; and in the newly planted area in the corner of the field.

Ø Planting tussocks in swales.

Ø Planting trees in new seating area

Ø Relocating a few small trees

Ø Additional jobs if time permits may be added

These plantings need to involve your children too, so we will be encouraging children to join the planting team. The probable survival of the new trees will be enhanced by having current pupils involved in their care.

Equipment: Please bring spades and shovels

Just for organisation purposes please fill in the form if you are able/intending to come and help us out. If you wake up on the morning and decide just to turn up we would still love to see you.

Thanks in advance
