Three days of sporting action as many of our year 7 and 8 children competed at the Koru Games held in Selwyn.

This year we had over 80 year 7 and 8 children compete in the annual Koru games, a sporting event for intermediate age children. We had teams competing in netball, volleyball, girls rugby, touch, table tennis, lawn bowls, basketball and badminton. All competing children had a great three days and for many is one of the highlights of the year.

We had some great successes.

Basketball won the boys competition

Badminton - Both the girls and boys teams achieved 3rd place

Table Tennis - One table tennis team placed 3rd in the mixed doubles competition

Girls Rugby - Achieved 2nd place

Netball - came 9th out of 32 teams

Volleyball  Girls Red came 2nd and Girls Yellow came 10th out of 30 teams. The boys came 5th.

Lawn bowls teams came 4th, 5th and 12

Girls Touch - 6th
