Avalon Biddle visit

Anita Head —

Recently, the Otawhito and Otumatua children had a visit from Avalon Biddle - a leading NZ Motorcycle racer.

 Avalon is performing very well against the men in her class and has won the last two rounds in her competition. She is currently leading the New Zealand championship, racing the final round this weekend. Avalon is an amazing speaker who encouraged the children to strive for their dreams and to never give up.

If your child wishes to follow her progress she has a facebook page with links to live streams for her races. This is called “Avalon Biddle Racing”, she also has a website https://www.avalonbiddle.com.

Some of the Year 4s wrote about her visit below;

On Friday a motorbike racer called Avalon Biddle came to visit us. She said she has broken a lot of bones! Her bike goes really low to the ground. She said “Never give up and follow your dreams”. By Rylee.

The Years 4-8 students met Avalon Biddle. We were excited! She taught us to never give up! She is so nice. She rides a motorbike that weighs three times more than her. She told us “Don’t give up on your dreams”. By Cole.

I mostly enjoyed the part when Avalon said “Never give up on your dreams” because if you do you will never succeed. Avalon always gets back up after she falls off or has a set back. She is awesome and her speech was so good. By Daniel.

I really enjoyed Avalon’s speech talking about her life and all the places she has been, like Italy and Australia. She is famous for being a motorbike rider. To be a great rider you need to eat healthy foods. She told us you always need to stay positive. By Connor.
