School Organisation 2018
We are now able to let you know the composition and teaching staff in each of the learning teams.
Firstly we would like to congratulate Deb Kingsland on winning a position at Darfield High School teaching year 7/8 next year. We are very sorry to be losing Deb as she is a highly valued member of our team but understand her reasons for moving closer to where she now lives. Due to Deb leaving we have one position in year 6/7/8 (Otumatua) which is yet to be filled.

Recently we have had a few open sessions for parents wanting to come and hear about and discuss our school organisation for 2018 and how it will all work. These small groups have worked well as we have been able to discuss individual concerns. We think there maybe a few parents who have questions and have not been able to attend, so we are holding another session at 5:30 on Wednesday 29th November in the staff room.
Our staff spend a lot of time and effort when organising student placements. T Group placement is no longer as critical as it was in single cell classrooms as the teachers are working in teams. The pivotal role of the T group teacher is pastoral care and a vital communication link with you. However, if you have important new information you wish to provide, please use the T Group placement Form found here. You may also wish to indicate any relationship issues with other children that we should take into account. Please do not request specific teachers.
Please refrain from approaching teachers with any placement related queries or issues. If you do need to speak to someone in person please make an appointment through the office to see either Cathie or Rob
If you have any info you want us to know about for T Group placement please have the above form completed by this Friday 24th November as we are starting the process next week.
Thanks
