Harry Potter Week

Next week in the library we are celebrating Harry Potter Week.  There will an activity book to fill in with lots of Harry Potter themed activities in it, from creating your own spell to creating a new fantastic beast, as well as colouring and word finds.  There will also be a scavenger hunt to find items from the Harry Potter world.  Everyone who fills in the activity book goes in the draw to win some Harry Potter goodies.

This term we also have Dragons Week, Mermaids and Unicorns Week, Roald Dahl Day and a Teddy Bear Sleepover family night.  

Hell Pizza Wheels

Don't forget to fill in the Hell Pizza Reading Wheels for your children.  I know lots of them have been reading heaps over the holidays and they can get rewarded with free pizza for doing so.  They only need to read 7 books to qualify for a free pizza from Hell Pizza.  All you need to do is sign a piece of the pizza wheel for each book that they read, whether it is a book they have read themselves, one you read to them or one that they have listened to as an audiobook.  The Pizza Wheel promotion runs until 3 December so there is still plenty of time to get free pizza.

Scholastic Book Club

The Scholastic Book Club brochures have come home this week.  There are lots of great books to choose from and every purchase that you make means that we get new books for our library.  The orders are due in by Wednesday 7 August and you can either order online or drop your order in to our school office.
