Halswell School and the Ministry of Education have been working on a proposed enrolment scheme change for Halswell School. This change is needed due to the rate of residential growth underway across the local area and the resultant risk of overcrowding at Halswell School.

There are several areas of overlap between the home zones of Halswell School and other neighbouring schools. The proposed enrolment scheme change will mean Halswell School will withdraw from some of these areas. Current students and their siblings will not be affected by these changes.

Public consultation for this will occur in the second week of Term 2 starting on 10 May. Further details will be available closer to the time.

All Halswell families and the community will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed changes and we encourage you to engage in this process.
