Tēnā koutou e te whānau

We have had a fantastic start to the new school year, with teaching and learning programmes well underway. Thank you to everyone who attended the annual Welcome Back to School Picnic on 1 February. We were really happy with the turnout from families. It was a lovely way for teachers, children, and parents to reconnect following the holiday break.

Next week, we are holding Learning Conferences on Wednesday (2.00-6.00 pm) and Thursday (3.30-8.00 pm). This is a great opportunity to meet with your child's T group teacher to develop learning goals and areas of focus for the upcoming year.

We really encourage the children to take part in the conferences; after all, it's their learning you will be discussing. If there is anything you would like to bring up with the T group teacher without your child being present, please let the teacher know at the start of the conference, and they will reserve the last 5 minutes with just the adults present.

If you haven't booked a conference yet, please refer to your Hero account for details about how to do so. If you experience any difficulties, feel free to contact the office.

A reminder that normal classes will cease at 1.30 pm on Wednesday, 21 February, to ensure that there are enough conference slots to accommodate all families. We would appreciate it if children could be collected at this time. If you are unable to do so, please add your details to the supervision list to enable your child(ren) to be supervised in the Learning Centre blue rooms through to 3 o'clock. Please complete the registration form before 3 pm on Tuesday.

Finally, I would like to warmly invite whānau to join us at this Friday's assembly (9.15-10 am in the Stadium). Ōrongomai students will be hosting the assembly.
