🔫 Clay Target Shooting 2021
The HBHS Clay Target shooting team has enjoyed a successful year with the A squad winning three of their six regional teams events and two second placings. For a young team this was an excellent result and marks them as a team to watch next year.
Year 12 student Timothy Lumsden (Captain of Shooting and the A squad) won the Individual event at the Waikato competition in July and Jack Godden (Year 11) won the Individual event at the Taupo competition in May, both shooting the days clean.
Winning the Neil Chesterton Trophy at Thames in April with a team score of 288/300 was definitely a highlight as it was the one competition that we were unable to compete in last year. This year we had two squads and both squads represented the school well, all the boys achieved some awesome team and personal results.
Timothy Lumsden, Jack Godden, and Matthew Riley (Year 10) were all regulars in the top five placings for individuals at all events. A special thanks to all the parents for their help and support again this year.
