During May, 28 HBHS Year 12 and Year 13 Economics students entered the New Zealand Economics Competition. This competition is an examination set by The University of Auckland Business School. 1300 of the top Economics students throughout New Zealand entered. Awards are at three levels:

High Distinction - top 10%

Distinction - next 15%

Credit- next 25%

High Distinction:

Year 12: Theo Bankers, Luke Bradley, Kinnon Broekhuizen, Rupert Leary, Daniel Loy, Harry O’Rourke, and Justin Yang

Distinction:

Year 13: Kyle Barker, Josef Gillgren, and Cam Sundararaj
