Our HBHS and HGHS combined team is a National title winner, having beaten former champions Te Wharekura o Rakaumanga in the final, 19-12.

Huge congratulations to our HBHG Ki-o-rahi team on becoming our latest National champion on Friday the 17th of June.  The team went through pool-play unbeaten and won through to the finals to face defending champions, Te Wharekura o Rakaumanga.  This is the second time our team has won the National title.  Tino pai, team!

Results:

Game 1:  Wainuiomata - won 26-20

Game 2:  Tai Wānanga - won 39-9

Game 3:  Tokoroa - won 30-16

Game 4:  Maniapoto - won 28-12

Semi-final:  Te Kuiti High School - won 25-10

Final:  Rakaumanga - won 19-12
