It was a stellar weekend of racing for the HBHS Rowing Squad.

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to live on in the country, high school rowing has once again been dramatically altered to fit the health guidelines. This has meant that the many regattas and rowing camps that we would normally attend have been cancelled. However, we were lucky enough to attend the North Island Secondary Schools Regatta on the 11th and 12th of March.

With this regatta being one of the only ones our squad has attended this season, we were buzzing and nervous to get racing. Despite the not-so-ideal conditions on Lake Karapiro, we raced the heats on the 11th and walked away satisfied and eager to race the finals the following day. The next day rolled around and with it came some excitement and anxiousness, yet the boys still managed to put on a show and come through with some excellent results, and a huge medal tally which is as follows:
