Koewyn (Year 12) is a key member of our HBHS Ki-o-rahi team that placed third at the recent NZSS National Tournament held in Gisborne.

Koewyn was formally announced as a member of the NZSS Ki-o-rahi team after this tournament.

Eight teams will come together to play a tournament later this year. The teams involved include Aotearoa Māori, Kura a Iwi, New Zealand Invitation and a Pasifika team. Congratulations Koewyn! 

I would also like to acknowledge your sister, Libby Kearins-Te Whare, who also gained selection in the New Zealand Secondary Schools' team. Koewyn and Libby were the only two selected from the HBHS and HBHS combined team. Kia kaha, Kearins-Te Whare whānau!
