On June 12th, four Year 13 students competed in the NZIC Analytical Chemistry Competition.

This competition involves Year 13 Chemistry students from schools around the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region, who get the opportunity to experience chemistry at university level using equipment far beyond what we can offer in our school labs. The object is to analyse a compound using different chemical techniques and get the closest to the composition.

Our team of Rohit Gulla, Andrew Kang, Raycorn Ruan, and Aaron Raturaga came 4th, winning certificates and $40 each.
