HBHS was utterly dominant at the annual Regional Debating Tournament on the 13th of March.

On Sunday the 13th of March we had four teams (Ryan Bosch, Hithen Raaj, Kyle Barker, Hamish McKelvie, Josef Gillgren, Daniel Dizon, Cam Sundararaj, Eddie Bi, Alexander Mayo, Wyatt Winke, Hitesh Malhotra, Campbell Wood, Jovan Xin, and Levi Pruden) competing at the Waikato Regional Debating Championship Tournament. Two HBHS teams made the semifinals and the final was contested between two HBHS teams.

The Waikato Debating Regionals results are as follows:

Regional Champions: Hitesh Malhotra, Campbell Wood, Levi Pruden, and Jovan Xin

Regional Runners Up: Eddie Bi, Alexander Mayo, and Wyatt Winke

Highly Commended Speakers: Hitesh Malhotra and Jovan Xin

Selected in the 2022 Waikato Representative Team: Levi Pruden

Reserve to the 2022 Waikato Representative Team: Campbell Wood

Selected in the 2022 Waikato Development Squad: Wyatt Winke and Cam Sundararaj
