The Year 9 team of Jack Stirling, Max Stirling, and Jacob Liu represented HBHS at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships on the 15th and 16th of June in Christchurch. The boys had a wonderful weekend with the following placings, Jack 5th, Max 6th and Jacob 23rd. This resulted in HBHS winning gold in the Year 9 Boys' team event.

The following day Jack and Max were selected to represent Waikato Bay of Plenty in the 4-man relay race. The team took out the gold by over 400m.
