University of Otago 150th Entrance Scholarship

The University of Otago 150th Entrance Scholarships are offered to students who have demonstrated academic ability and the potential and motivation to succeed at university. Congratulations to Jacob Hyett and Kevin Li. 

University of Otago Leaders of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarship

The University of Otago Leaders of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated all-round ability, including academic capability, and who exhibit leadership potential. Congratulations to Dhruv Khatri, Ashvin Peiris, Wrishov Saha, Luca Sweetman, and Thomas Ter Beek.

University of Otago Māori Entrance Scholarship

The University of Otago Māori Entrance Scholarships are a celebration of academic excellence and cultural diversity and are awarded to students who have contributed positively to their communities. These scholarships encourage the progression of Māori into tertiary study. Congratulations to Quinn Boyle, Aaron Hemi, Christian MacEwan, and Josh Wickers.

University of Otago New Frontiers Excellence Entrance Scholarship

The New Frontiers Entrance Scholarships are guaranteed to students who secure an Excellence endorsement at NCEA Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent). Students must apply for entrance scholarships and enrol in a degree other than Health Sciences First Year or Engineering Intermediate to be eligible. Students who have gained an Excellence endorsement in both Levels will be entitled to the New Frontiers Sustained Excellence Entrance Scholarship. Congratulations to Oliver O'Connor and Finn Ryan. 

University of Otago Pacific Peoples' Entrance Scholarship

The University of Otago Pacific Peoples' Entrance Scholarships are a celebration of academic excellence and cultural diversity and are awarded to students who have contributed positively to their communities. These scholarships are intended to encourage the progression of indigenous Pacific Peoples into tertiary study. Congratulations to Raihan Aizam and Devesh Kumar.

University of Otago Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship

The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship was established by the University of Otago in 2015 to celebrate the excellence of students enrolling at the University of Otago. The selection of recipients is at the discretion of the Vice-Chancellor. Congratulations to Laksh Sidhu.

University of Otago Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship

The University of Otago Academic Excellence Scholarship was established in 2011 to assist first year students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and shown leadership potential. Valued at around $30,000 over three years of undergraduate study, the Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship is the highest scholarship awarded by the University of Otago for undergraduate study. Congratulations to Alex Liu and Hamish McKelvie.
