Earlier this term, the boys were given the opportunity to show off their chess skills which have been honed over many second sessions of Hostel prep time in the Matthew Allen Cup Chess competition. 

Each House put forward three students per year group to match up with one another in a chess game with a 15 minute limit. The winning House over each year group series was given a point with the winner of the competition being the House with the most year-level victories.
