Congratulations to Jake on these achievements.

The Waihi Beach Surf Life Saving Awards were held at the end of April, and Year 12 HBHS student Jake Armstrong picked up a collection of prizes for the 2022 and 2023 season. He was named as the Most Promising IRB Driver, the Most Improved Member, and received an award for accumulating 178 volunteer hours. Jake and his IRB team also represented Waihi Beach at the Northern Regional IRB competitions where his team won a silver medal, and they competed in the New Zealand 2023 IRB National Championships. Congratulations once again to Jake on these achievements, and for providing a valuable and essential service keeping New Zealanders safe in and on the water.
