Player growth opportunities provided against tough opposition.

This team placed 10th out of 23 teams at the North Island Senior Secondary Schools Tournament in Hamilton. Results were as follows: vs  St Paul's 8 - 9, vs St Peter's 5 -15, vs Mount Maunganui 10 -7, vs Glendowie College 4 - 6, vs JPC Senior Mixed 8 - 4 and vs Hutt Valley High 9 - 13.

At the New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships in Auckland, the team placed 11th out of 20 teams. They achieved the following results: vs Mount Albert Grammar 0 -12, vs Orewa College 7 - 5, vs Rangitoto College 4 -2, vs St Peter's College 0 - 12 and vs HBHS Red 7 - 4.
