Congratulations to our budding film-maker on this recognition.

Year 13 student Josef Gillgren was announced as the winner of the Geoff Lealand BPM Student Challenge on Monday at the last Prefects meeting for the year. Josef was presented with his $1000 individual prize by Geoff's widow Josephine Maplesden, who commended him on his insightful and perceptive commentary on crime reporting in the New Zealand media and why it is essential to think critically about what we see on the screen. Along with his individual prize, Josef has won $500 for the HBHS Media Studies department, which is very proud of what this talented student has achieved!
