Student of the Week: Benjamin Trotter (Term 3 Week 3)
Introducing our newest 'Student of the Week' for Term 3 Week 3, Benjamin Trotter.
Benjamin is a Year 13 student at HBHS, and has been recognised with this award for his outstanding service within and beyond the school community.
Benjamin is our school's Student Photographer, and he is responsible for taking high-quality photos at HBHS-related events. If there is a HBHS Sports Exchange, House Event or fun lunchtime activity, Ben can often be seen taking photos of the activities to share with our wider school community. Many of his photos find their way into our school's magazines, newsletters and social media platforms. Ben is not paid to photograph these events, however he will be awarded this year with a HBHS Gold Service Award for his many hours of service to benefit the school community. Pictured in this post is a few of his very own photos. We think they are very impressive! At our school's Arts and Cultural Awards last year, Benjamin was awarded with the 'Outstanding Senior Photographer Award'. Quite the achievement!
Outside of photography, Ben is also the Leader of his Tutor Group, which means that he encourages student engagement and interaction within his Tutor Group. Tutor Group Leaders at our school have a very important role, as they help to foster positive relationships between our Senior and Junior school.
Outside of school, Benjamin is a part of the Riverlea Theatre Performing Arts Group. Earlier this year, he attended his first audition for a place in the cast of their upcoming production - 'Mama Mia!' Ben was successful at his audition and was successfully cast as a part of the ensemble. It will be his first time acting on stage in front of a live audience.
On behalf of the school and wider community, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Ben for his services to the school community, and we wish him all the best for his upcoming future endeavours.
