Thanks to the straightforward leg structure, the robot can move smoothly using only two motors. The robot can be rapidly assembled by any high school student, whether junior or senior, using the simple instructions provided. 3D printing and laser cutting are used to manufacture the robot. Furthermore, low-cost single-board controllers such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi can be used to add advanced features such as obstacle avoidance, object tracking, and path following.

Engineering Tour and Workshop - Come and see our hands-on workshop, the variety of machines our students get to work with – with some of the machines working on the day. Take a tour of all our facilities, showcasing the projects our students have completed as part of their degree. See our Custom Electric Guitar made in our workshop using CNC machines, 3D printers and more of our technologies and get to take home a personalised gift!

Construction - The Painting With Light workshop gives you a chance to be creative in Massey University's lighting lab. You'll also be treated to demonstrations of our specialised equipment and learn some interesting lighting facts. Have you ever wondered why blue light at night could be bad for you? Or why electric lighting can make you feel sick sometimes? The workshop will fill you in.
