Captain of Rock Climbing, Jack Basel, reports on the year.

This year has been a successful year for HBHS’s Rock Climbing team. We placed first in the Waikato Secondary Schools Championships, dominating the Junior and Senior categories, with both our seniors and juniors taking first and second place. This year’s victory makes it our fifth win in a row.

In the New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships, we placed fifth overall, with our boys almost making it to the finals. The individual placings of the New Zealand Secondary Schools were: Max Williams finished twelfth, Ethan Carmichael finished eleventh, and Jack Basel finished in tenth place.
