🏊♂️ Quinn Boyle swims the Firth of Thames
Year 12 student, and Argyle House stalwart, Quinn Boyle followed a medal-winning Saturday at the National Open Water Swimming Championships with a crossing of the Firth of Thames
Quinn Boyle has had a fantastic Summer Tournament Week. It began with him winning a silver medal at the NZSS Teams Triathlon competition in New Plymouth on the 27th of March, was followed by a bronze medal win at the NZSS Open Water Swimming Championships on the Main Beach at Mount Maunganui on Saturday the 2nd of April in the 15 - 19 age group over 2.8km, and was rounded off with a successful crossing of the Firth of Thames on Sunday the 3rd of April!
Quinn swam the Firth of Thames ultra-marathon race, a 24.2 km distance from Wilsons Bay in the Coromandel to Kawakawa Bay by Auckland. He dedicated this special swim to Nick Hobson who sadly passed away swimming the Cook Straight with him. In Quinn's own words...
"It meant a lot and I hope his family finds peace knowing this."
