👨‍🎓 2024 Academic Honours

Congratulations to our leading Year 12 scholars of 2023.

Academic Honours is awarded to Year 13 students who in Year 12 achieved Level 2 with an Excellence endorsement, or gained four or more A grades at Cambridge AS Level.

In 2023, for an NCEA Level 2 certificate to be endorsed with Excellence, a student must gain at least 50 credits at Excellence level.

Academic Honours students are invited to wear Number Ones in Year 13 with the addition of the Honours tie, pocket, and a named Honours badge. 

The recipients of this award have shown commitment to excellence in their academic endeavours, and we congratulate you and wish you every success in the year ahead.

Last year, more than two million students sat Cambridge Examinations in more than ten thousand schools in countries around the world, including hundreds in New Zealand. Placing Top in the New Zealand or Top in the World is therefore an exceptional achievement. 

Top in New Zealand for Cambridge AS Language and Literature in English to Rohit Gulla.

Top in the World for Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Science and Mathematics, and Top in New Zealand for Cambridge IGCSE Accounting and Economics, and Top in New Zealand across five Cambridge IGCSE subjects to Nikash Lanka.

Special mention also to Old Boys Alexander Mayo for finishing Top in Zealand AS Physics and gaining a High Achievement in AS Chemistry, and to Alex Liu for gaining a High Achievement in A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics and for finishing Top in New Zealand across three A Level subjects.
