On Sunday, May 18th Malachi participated in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition at the YMCA Recreation Centre in Hamilton. It was a significant day for Malachi as he had dedicated himself to training diligently in preparation.

Throughout the event, competing against fellow orange belt contenders in the under 56kg, 15-years age group, Malachi engaged in three challenging fights. Despite the intensity, he remained focused, applying all the techniques and skills he had acquired through rigorous training. To his delight, Malachi emerged victorious in all three matches, securing the top spot in his division.

A sense of pride and accomplishment washed over Malachi as he stood with a gold medal around his neck. The triumph was a testament to the countless hours of dedication and hard work he had invested.
