HBHS have defended the WSSSFA Premier League Boys League after winning it in 2022. In a tight battle, a 1-1 draw with St Paul’s Collegiate was enough to have HBHS on top again.

The team went undefeated in the league which was excellent preparation for the National Tournament in Christchurch where they finished a creditable 5th, beating Tauranga Boys' College in their final match.
