There was a festival atmosphere in the Hall on Friday, as our brave staff and students answered the call to Shave for a Cure.

On Friday the 2nd of July, the annual HBHS Shave for a Cure took place in a packed School Hall.  A total of 55 HBHS staff and students bravely shaved their heads to support the Leukaemia and Blood Cancer Foundation of New Zealand.  We are thankful for the support of students, staff and the donations from the wider school community.  We thank Varda Hairdressing for helping us today by providing barbers and equipment.  We are grateful for the support of students who came to our Shave For A Cure event at lunchtime and supported the boys who shaved their heads.  Well done to everyone who participated, we raised $25,058 which was well over the initial target we had set.
