Kia ora whānau,

On Tuesday 21st May, Mr Teokotai-White held the annual Matthew Allen Cup General Knowledge competition. Argyle, known for its lack of knowledge, needed some practice for the upcoming house event on May the 27th and 28th. Consisting of 50 questions ranging from sport to science to authors, both juniors and seniors were divided up into a few groups of four. Bennett, still on the back leg of a 12-6 lead to Sutherland, needed another win to make a comeback reality. A few teams carried on the backs of the likes of Jack Higgins, Toby Burgess, and Finn Robertson prevailed with some insanely smart answers. The night was needed to help out Stefan Newman in the selection of the Junior and Senior House teams consisting of 8 at each level. Marks were tallied after all the questions were answered and it was a Bennett winfor both the Senior and Junior teams. A happy Henry Seavill continues his comeback streak and Tom Martin gets a little less confident with his lead. Well done to all those who competed and good luck to those answering on the 27th and 28th.
