It was an utterly dominant performance last week by the HBHS Tennis team at the regional tennis championships.

The results from the Waikato Secondary Schools Tennis Championships are as follows...

Singles Championships, Tuesday 29th March:

Junior:

🥇 Flynn Vinnicombe: JUNIOR SINGLES CHAMPION, winning 4-0, 4-0 in the final. 

Intermediate:

🥇 Flynn McGregor: INTERMEDIATE SINGLES CHAMPION

🥈 Thando Thebe 

🥉 Jeremy Coombe 

4th place: Andy Nguyen

Senior:

🥇 Jack McGregor: SENIOR SINGLES CHAMPION 

🥈 Oliver Taylor 

🥉 Hamish Kerr 

4th place: Jacob Kilgour 

Doubles Championships, Wednesday 30th March:

Juniors:

🥇 Flynn Vinnicombe (Year 9) and Steven Lin (Year 9)

Intermediate:

🥇 Flynn McGregor (Year 11) and Thando Thebe (Year 10)

🥈 Jeremy Coombe (Year 11) and Andy Nguyen (Year 11)

This was a hard-fought battle as each set went to tie break and tie breaks at 6-all and 9-all, then eventually 11-9. Best tennis of the day!

Senior:

🥇 Jack McGregor (Year 12) and Oliver Taylor (Year 11)

🥈 Hamish Kerr (Year 13) and Jacob Kilgour (Year 13)
