The HBHS Clay Target Shooting team has been steadily competing in club events throughout the year, and placed third in the Super 8 Clay Target Shooting competition run jointly as part of the North Island Secondary Schools Championships at the Waikato Gun Club.  

In recent news, Year 11 student Matthew Riley won the North Island 12 Gauge Junior (Under 18) Skeet Championships, the North Island 12 Gauge B Grade Skeet Championships, and the North Island Junior (Under 18) Handicap Championships on a score of 93 out of 100 targets.  Congratulations to Matthew on these excellent results.
