Year 9 student Eli Scott has been in the medals in Judo this year.

Eli has had another fantastic year in Judo, coming off being the New Zealand Champion and number-one-ranked Judoka in his weight and age group in 2022. This year Eli was selected to represent Waikato Bays Judo in Queensland in September. He ended the competition as the New Zealand number one and national champion in his age and weight category. Eli's results for 2023 in the Senior Boys 55kg category are:

• NZ Secondary Schools 🥈
• Australian Secondary Schools - 5th
• Queensland International Open 🥉
• NZ Nationals 🥇

In addition, Eli and his younger brother have been invited to train with the New Zealand National Squad in February in 2024, which is an incredible achievement at his age. We congratulate Eli on all that he has achieved and wish him every success.
