Captain of Badminton, Aveer Virk, reports on what was an utterly dominant display of badminton prowess in Napier.

From the 9th to the 11th of June, the Premier Badminton team travelled down to Napier to take part in the annual Super 8 competition. The tournament began on the right foot by beating all three teams 6-0 on Day one. After a dominant performance, we earned the top placing for our box. The following day our semi final game was against Napier Boys' High School who put up a tough fight but we still ended up winning 6-0. After beating a strong Palmerston North side in pool play, we were up against them again for the Super 8 shield. The boys wanted to finish with a bang so everyone brought their A game and we crushed Palmerston North 6-0. We are now the Super 8 champions for the fourth consecutive year. We as a team feel proud and I would personally like to thank Mrs Ryan for coaching us and organising everything. The team is myself, Aveer Virk, Raphael Deloy, Lucas Qin, and David Nguyen.
