Artists to the fore at Super 8 cultural festival
Boys from eight North Island secondary schools converged on Gisborne Boys' High School over the weekend to compete in the Super 8 cultural festival.
Cultural festival students compete in visual and performing arts, as well as chess, debating, and oratory events.
“Our Super 8 schools do an exceptional job of providing our athletes with sporting opportunities to express their talents,” said Gisborne Boys' principal Andrew Turner.
“Cultural Super 8 aims to do the same for our artists.”
The eight schools are Tauranga Boys' College, Hamilton Boys' High, Palmerston North Boys' High, Hastings Boys High, Napier Boys' High, New Plymouth Boys' High, Rotorua Boys' High, and GBHS.
