The yearly MMC swimming programme has gotten off to a strong start in 2022

The start of 2022 has seen the school’s former refugee boys hit the water as the annual Multicultural Manaaki Centre’s swimming programme began earlier this term, with boys coming weekly to help as mentors at the school pool. With over 30 boys including both mentors and mentees in the pool every Tuesday lunchtime—including the support of various teachers—the programme so far has been a huge success, teaching the boys valuable skills for the water.
