Sutherland have gotten off the mark in this years Matthew Allen Cup with their first win coming via tabloids. 

Houses are split into 5 teams across year levels before going on to play 5 separate games. This year the games were - Penalty Shootout, Bronco Touch, Rope Joust, Dizzy Attack and Tail Grab with teams awarded points for the games themselves as well as bonus points for both winning and sportsmanship. 

This year the competition was fierce, but Sutherland were able to claim victory with a comfortable 541 - 446 win. With Mac Russ being away for a lot of the preparation for this event, Johno O'Brien stepped forward to claim the Lake Shield for the win in this competition.
