🥍 HBHS Lacrosse team win regional and National titles 🏆️🇳🇿
It has been another successful season for our lacrosse team.
On Sunday September the 1st, our Lacrosse team played the Waikato Secondary Schools League final against Morrinsville College at Tamahere Park. Having lost to Morrinsville College previously in the season, the boys were eager and determined to play their best. HBHS put the first point on the board and were up by 5 (6-1) at half time. Our boys were impressive throughout the match and comfortably won by 6 (10-4), claiming the title of Waikato Champions for 2024.
Our National Secondary Schools lacrosse tournament was played in Te Awamutu on September the 7th and 8th. Last year, HBHS were undefeated champions, so were aiming to retain the Clarkson Family Cup. Success! HBHS clean-swept the 2024 NZSS pool games and defeated Cambridge High School in the Championship Cup final 9-3, claiming back-to-back National Champions titles.
Well done on a superb season, lads!
