Student of the Week: Mohid Rizwan (Term 2 Week 9)

Matthew Clark —

Introducing our school's 'Student of the Week' for Term 2 Week 9, Mohid Rizwan.

Mohid is a Year 13 student at HBHS, and has been recognised as an Academic Honours student at our school for his excellent NCEA Level 2 results.

Outside of the classroom, Mohid is very passionate about service.  He plays a vital role at our school's Multicultural Manaaki Centre - a homework centre and community within our school dedicated to the success of former refugee students.  An example of Mohid's importance to the Manaaki Centre would be his hard work during World Refugee Week, including the planning and organisation of our school's annual Brotherhood Match.

During Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes in G4, Mohid can be found tutoring many a student in Mathematics, in particular Year 13 students struggling with Calculus.  If you are experiencing any trouble with your Maths homework, we strongly suggest you attend these tutorials.  Keep an eye out in our school's Daily Notices!

Informally, he is a wise mentor to many, including some of our school's Student Leaders.

Thank you for your hard work, Mohid, and keep up the good work!  All the very best of luck for the rest of the year.
