The HBHS Maroon team consisting of: Samuel Barnett, Scout Clark, Ashtyn Gyde, Tukorehe Jefferies, Daniels Longshaw, Samuel Mayo, Jack Naylor, Christian-Lee Pogai, Hunter Pogai, Zac Wilson, Tom Wynne, and Cooper Young, won the local competition on the 9th of May, 2022, in a close penalty shootout against HBHS Gold.

HBHS entered four teams (Maroon, Red, Black and Gold) into this competition. The teams are of mixed ability which enables the younger players to learn valuable skills from the seniors as they play against other schools in Hamilton. 

At the Prize-Giving, HBHS students Josh Workman (Red) and Taylor Crouch (Red) received the Most Valuable Player Awards while Cole Schmidt (Gold) received the Best Goalie Award.
